Part of “The Farmers’ Market” in Stroud is a real street market
The small town of Stroud lies in the county of Gloucestershire in the Cotswolds with almost 13,000 inhabitants. It has one of the largest regularly held farmers markets. It doesn’t have a classic covered market as in Oxford, for example, but Stroud Farmers’ Market is held here every Saturday in the pedestrian precinct of some of the town centre streets around Cornhill Market Square.
In addition, there is a second market, which is both indoors and outdoors: The Shambles Market, takes place every Friday and Saturday in a side street of the rather steep High Street.
