Lynmouth Marina
Lynton and Lynmouth are actually twin towns on the north coast of Devon in Exmoor National Park: Lynton is located on top of the cliffs about 150 metres above sea level and in Lynmouth the River Lyn flows into the sea – or Bristol Channel to be precise.
Both places are very popular with tourists, especially in the summer months, and a special attraction is the Lynton and Lynmouth Cliff Railway, which connects the upper and lower towns. From Lynmouth, you can enter the deep and wooded valley of the River Lyn and visit Watersmeet (where East Lyn and West Lyn meet). This town also has a small marina and a nice pedestrian street.
Lynton at the top of the cliffs is the actual main town. It is also the gateway to the Valley of Rocks which is a particularly romantic cliff area.
