Longleat House in Wiltshire

Longleat is a still a privately-owned manor house near Warminster in the county of Wiltshire, about 40 km from Bath. In order to be able to finance the expensive maintenance of the house, it is open to the public for an entrance fee.
In addition to this a complete safari park has been created on an approximately 32 square kilometre site, which is one of the big attractions, especially for children – as well as an amusement park with roundabouts etc. There is also a classic landscaped garden with a lake and even a bungalow park with 600 units.

However, the visitor to the house does not see this bungalow park. The view of the house on the approach through the spacious garden is extremely impressive. A tour of Longleat is interesting, but you can miss out the private guided tour which is a presentation of the owner’s artistic ambitions.
