Lyme Regis – the Harbour
Lyme Regis is a very pleasant seaside resort on the English Channel. With just under 4,500 inhabitants, it is also known as the Pearl of Dorset – although it is located directly on the border with Devon.
The town itself is characterised by a nicely landscaped garden directly behind the beach and this extends steeply up the hills of the Jurassic Coast. With its beautiful houses and tranquil harbour, it is very typical of southern England. We recommend that visitors go for a snack at the fish and chip stall just before the harbour, where a variety of fish are freshly prepared in addition to classic cod.

Another little travel tip: Not far from Lyme Regis is another seaside resort with the beautiful name “Beer“, which has a very inviting beer garden in addition to its nice beach!
