Montacute House
Montacute House in Somerset is the old family home of the Phelips Family and is now owned by the National Trust. Located directly on the outskirts of the village of Montacute, this old Elizabethan estate with large gardens is open to visitors.
Particularly worth seeing is the “Long Gallery” on the top floor, which stretches over almost 52.5 meters (172 ft): Here, the ladies of the house could indulge themselves, in the best sense of the word, in bad weather.
