Woodstock, a lovely little town in Oxfordshire

No, it’s not the city that we all know in the USA where the big festival of 1969 took place. Woodstock is a very nice little town with around 3,000 inhabitants in the southern English county of Oxfordshire.

Probably very few people would take notice of Woodstock if it weren’t for the fact that it is adjacent to the well-known Blenheim Palace (UNESCO World Heritage Site) and the birthplace of Winston Churchill.
You can enter via the gate at the wall which circles the palace grounds and entrance to the park is free! The gate is directly adjacent to the last houses in the village.

It’s worth taking a bit of time to walk around Woodstock, which has some beautifully tree-lined streets.
